To ring in 2026/2027, the Baltic Sea island of Rügen celebrates in the seaside resorts of Binz, Sellin, Göhren and Baabe with pier fireworks, a beach party with a live band and atmospheric hotel parties. Program & Schedule: When and What Happens on New Year's Eve in Binz, Sellin and Göhren
The only New Year's Eve party with a confirmed date and program for 2026/2027 is the Strandkorbsilvester at the Kurpavillon in Göhren: it starts at 19:00, features live music by "Boerney & Die Tri Tops" and ends the old year with aerial fireworks at midnight. The organizers note that changes or cancellation are possible at any time. In previous years, Binz offered an early family fireworks display around 18:00, an open air party at the Kurplatz and a second display just after midnight; whether this concept continues in 2026/2027 is not yet confirmed. Sellin usually shows aerial fireworks at its pier shortly after midnight, and Baabe has fireworks in the early evening and after midnight.
More celebrations: Kap Arkona has an afternoon fireworks show with a display around 16:30, and Bergen auf Rügen hosts an afternoon New Year's Eve event at the Ernst Moritz Arndt Stadion. The Glasbahnhof in Sassnitz (Hafenstraße 12D), a well known party and concert venue on the island, has not published a New Year's Eve party for 2026 so far.
