Welcome to New Year’s Eve in Dortmund 2026/2027
On the night of 31 December 2026 into 1 January 2027, Dortmund rings in the New Year with club nights, live music and gala programmes at several venues. Instead of one single mega-party, there are distinct formats: DJ floors and live sets at domicil, show and party at Cabaret Queue, plus further concepts that may still be announced. Dates and prices below follow published organiser information; last-minute changes are possible — always check tickets and details with the venue.
Highlights & Attractions at New Year’s Eve Parties in Dortmund
- domicil (Hansastraße 7–11, 44137 Dortmund): New Year’s Eve party on three levels — DJ in the main hall, live music sets in the small club (folk/jazz/pop and more), cocktail bar with house and club music. Doors 21:00, until about 03:00 on 1 January 2027. Tickets from €27; organiser states no discounts and no reservations. Presented by domicil gGmbH.
- Cabaret Queue (Fred-Ape-Weg 74, 44263 Dortmund-Hörde): New Year’s Eve with show and party. Option from 18:00 including gala buffet, show and DJ (advance sale about €110); option from 21:00 with gala show and DJ (about €49). Live acts including Dittmar Bachmann and Helmut Sanftenschneider, then DJ Stefan. Midnight sparkling wine and currywurst (or vegan alternative) are part of both options.
- Silvester Exclusiv / Russian New Year’s gala (Festsaal RomAntik, Burgweg 16, 44145 Dortmund): Gala evening from about 20:00 into the night (listed until around 04:00). Festive buffet, drinks, live music and show; moderation in Russian. Table seating and optional hotel packages with transfer — prices via the organiser.
- FZW (Ritterstraße 20, 44137 Dortmund): Freizeitzentrum West traditionally runs large multi-floor New Year’s Eve parties (hall, club, bar). As of research time, no dedicated 2026/2027 Silvester event was listed on fzw.de; in previous years doors often opened around 22:00 with pop/charts, rock/alternative and funk/soul. Check the FZW site for updates.
- Other venues (often still TBA): JunkYard (Schlägelstraße 57) and Musiktheater Piano have hosted club or party New Year’s events in past years; no firm public 31 Dec 2026 listings were confirmed at research time. City open-air formats (e.g. Friedensplatz) ran on New Year’s Eve 2025/2026 — a 2026/2027 edition was not yet confirmed.
- Many venues are central: domicil and FZW near the city centre and Dortmunder U; Cabaret Queue in Hörde; JunkYard north of the centre — reachable by U-Bahn and night buses.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
domicil: Doors 21:00 on 31 Dec 2026, until about 03:00 on 1 Jan 2027. Three floors in parallel: DJ and dance in the hall, live sets in the club, more relaxed cocktail bar on the ground floor. Mix of pop, soul, rock and house. Venue capacity up to about 500; no free entry and no standard concert discounts that night.
Cabaret Queue: Early start from 18:00 with buffet and show, or from 21:00 straight into show and dance floor. Midnight toast, then currywurst (or vegan). For buffet tickets, book together if you want to sit together; staff assign seats on site.
Silvester Exclusiv: Table gala with buffet, drinks and programme — more formal shared celebration and dancing into the morning. VIP and hotel options available.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Dortmund
- Getting there: Dortmund main station and U-Bahn (U42/U46 and others) serve the centre, U-Tower/FZW and Hörde. Night Express lines (e.g. NE1) cover many club areas after midnight. By car: city parking is limited and expensive on New Year’s Eve — public transport is safer. Dortmund Airport (DTM) and regional rail work well from the Ruhr area.
- Weather and clothing: New Year’s Eve in Dortmund is cold (often around or below 0 °C), with rain or wind possible. Warm layers, solid shoes, and something lighter for the dance floor. Use the cloakroom in clubs.
- Where to stay: City centre, Unionviertel and Hörde suit club and gala guests. New Year’s weekends sell out early — book ahead. Hotel packages are offered with the Russian gala, among others.
- Safety and rules: Private fireworks and glass are banned on some public squares (as in previous years at Friedensplatz). Buy only official tickets; carry ID (age limits vary by venue, often 18+).
- Planning: domicil and Cabaret Queue are confirmed; FZW and other clubs may follow. If you aim for more than one venue, check travel times and last trains — and lock in a main-night ticket before pre-sale stocks run out.
