Welcome to the New Year's Eve 2026/2027 in Hasselt
New Year's Eve 2026/2027 in Hasselt, capital of Belgian Limburg, centres on Winterland at Kolonel Dusartplein, festive lights in the old town and the city's traditional fireworks. Ice skating, some rides, the New Year's Eve dinner and club nights are paid extras.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
On 31 December 2026 Winterland typically closes the market and attractions around 18:00, while the forecourt bars and Grand Café stay open for the New Year's Eve party, in recent editions until 02:00. The dinner format has started around 18:00 with an aperitif, buffet from about 19:00, then DJ, live performance and fireworks at midnight. The ice rink has often stayed open until 22:00. City pages have listed the official show at 23:00 in some years and midnight in others; Winterland advertises midnight fireworks at Dusartplein. Confirm the exact time on hasselt.be and winterland.be shortly before the night. Bad weather has previously led to a light show instead of fireworks.
On 1 January 2027 Winterland usually reopens around midday. Clubs and restaurants run separate paid parties; line-ups and ticket prices for 2026/2027 are normally released in autumn. The municipal toast Hasselt Klinkt is a mid-January gathering on Grote Markt, not part of New Year's Eve itself.
