• Use KVV trams, S-Bahn and buses to Marktplatz or Schlossplatz. Avoid driving to the Turmberg after 22:00; Reichardtstrasse and Jean-Ritzert-Strasse are usually closed until 01:00 for emergency access.
• Late December in Karlsruhe is typically cold, damp and windy. Wear layers, sturdy shoes and gloves; on the ice, extra socks and gloves help prevent falls.
