Welcome to the New Year's Eve and New Year 2026/2027 in St. Anton am Arlberg
St. Anton am Arlberg in Tyrol is one of the Alps’ most famous ski resorts and marks the 2026/2027 turn of the year with village celebrations, après-ski and classic winter events. The public highlight on 31 December is traditionally a fireworks-free laser show in front of the tourist office at Dorfstraße 8. The festive period also includes the “Schneetreiben” ski show on 30 December 2026 and the Arlberg New Year’s Concert on 3 January 2027 in the WM Hall at Arlberg WellCom. Confirm final laser-show timings on stantonamarlberg.com before you travel; the 2026/2027 edition had not yet been fully published at the time of research.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
Advent Magic in the Park at the museum runs until 19–20 December 2026. Festive concerts and snow shows follow: the Wilten Boys Choir performs at 20:00 on 27 December 2026 in the Arlbergsaal. The “Schneetreiben” ski show is scheduled for 30 December 2026 and then weekly on Wednesdays from 13 January 2027. On New Year’s Eve crowds gather in the village centre. In recent editions a family-friendly laser show started at 20:00, with the main LASAIR show from 23:30 until about 00:15. Local clubs sell drinks nearby and donate proceeds to youth programs. Hotels and après-ski bars run gala menus, live bands and club nights into the early hours.
On 3 January 2027 the Arlberg New Year’s Concert welcomes the year with waltzes and polkas from the Strauss repertoire. Admission at the WM Hall of Arlberg WellCom (Hannes-Schneider-Weg 11) is listed for 16:30, with the concert starting at 17:30. Tickets are due later at the tourism association and at stanton-tickets.at. Concert prices for 2027 had not been published at the time of writing.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in St. Anton am Arlberg
- Getting there: The railway station sits in the village centre. Innsbruck Airport is about 90–95 km away; other options include Friedrichshafen (about 130 km), Zurich (about 200 km) and Munich (about 250 km). A motorway vignette is required on Austrian autobahns and the S16.
- Weather and clothing: Expect alpine winter cold, snow and wind. Pack layers, waterproof boots and gloves; add an extra warm layer for the outdoor laser show.
- Stay: Christmas and New Year are peak season. Book rooms and apartments early, ideally before autumn. Many properties set minimum stays over the turn of the year.
- Reservations: Reserve gala dinners, restaurant tables and concert tickets as soon as they open. Hospiz Alm in St. Christoph is traditionally busy on 1 January.
- On the night: The village promotes a fireworks-free public celebration. Watch icy pavements after après-ski, and consider an early start on 1 January for quieter slopes.
