THE CITY ROCKS – Grand Final
On 31 December 2026 (sources list times from afternoon/evening into 1 January), the series turns the city centre into a festival mile: live acts in numerous bars, cafés and restaurants plus a main stage on Hauptplatz. Earlier editions were free; the final act list and map are published on the-city.rocks.

Clubs and dance bars (as of October 2026 – NYE line-ups often still TBA)

• V-Club (Bruno-Kreisky-Straße 33, Villach-Lind): Reopened in October 2026 under new operators; regular hours Thursday–Saturday about 21:00–04:00, with theme and club nights. A specific Silvester 2026 programme had not been published by mid-October – follow the venue’s announcements closer to 31 December.
• Schickeria (Trattengasse 4): New dance bar (opened October 2026) with schlager, Austropop, discofox and evergreens; Wednesday–Saturday, open until about 04:00. Ask the venue for any New Year’s specials.
• SudHOUSE Club (Sudhaus of the city brewery): Club series aimed at a younger crowd (16+), previous nights with entry around 15 euro; further dates in November and December 2026 announced. A dedicated New Year’s night was not yet confirmed.

• Getting there: Villach is well connected by train (main station) and motorway; the old town (Hauptplatz, Rathausplatz, Kirchenplatz) is walkable and served by city buses. For V-Club in Lind, plan a taxi or shuttle.
• Weather and clothing: Late December in Carinthia is often cold, wet and windy – warm layers, sturdy shoes, gloves. Waterproof outfits help at the rink and market.
