Welcome to New Year's Eve 2026/2027 in Zell am See
Zell am See marks the 2026/2027 turn of the year between Lake Zell, a lit lakeside promenade and the slopes of Schmittenhöhe. The main celebration falls on Thursday, 31 December 2026, and continues on 1 January 2027 with church services, hotel brunches and winter sports. The Zell am See-Kaprun region combines a classical concert, hotel galas, spa nightlife and a busy town centre into an alpine New Year programme.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
The confirmed cultural highlight is the New Year's Eve concert on 31 December 2026 at 17:00 in the Ferry Porsche Congress Center, Brucker Bundesstraße 1a. The Philharmonie Salzburg, conducted by Elisabeth Fuchs, performs works by Mozart, Bizet, Saint-Saëns, Rossini, Suppè and Johann Strauss, with violinist Margarita Pochebut as soloist. The concert sets the tone before guests continue to hotels, bars or the lakeshore.
Open-air parties on the promenade and in Elisabethpark are typical in Zell am See; on 31 December 2025 a free DJ party was listed at Elisabethpark. The full street and lakeside programme for 2026/2027 is usually published in autumn by Zell am See-Kaprun Tourism and local organisers. Hotels stage gala menus, midnight waltzes and private fireworks; TAUERN SPA in nearby Kaprun offers an all-inclusive evening with buffet, sauna infusions, DJ and laser show. 1 January 2027 brings services, brunch and open ski slopes. Official or private fireworks may be limited by weather or local rules — check zellamsee-kaprun.com close to the date.
