The New Year’s Eve Party Düsseldorf 2026/2027 is the more energetic, dance-focused option among KD’s Silvester boats: a standing-room party cruise on MS Asbach. On 31 December 2026 you depart from the KD landing stage Düsseldorf/Burgplatz and welcome the new year with a front-row view of the fireworks on the Rhine – opposite the Old Town and upstream of the Oberkassel Bridge. Boarding starts at 20:15, departure at 21:00, return around 01:00, event end at 02:00.

Unlike the more expensive all-inclusive New Year’s Eve cruise with reserved seats and buffet (MS RheinGalaxie), this is a pure party sailing: fewer seats, more floor space and a dance-first atmosphere. Groups are explicitly welcome.

Official Köln-Düsseldorfer (KD) prices: €159 per person regular, €143 per person for limited pre-sale tickets (select during booking). Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Dusseldorf

• Getting there: KD landing stage Düsseldorf/Burgplatz is on the Rhine promenade (Untere Rheinwerft below Burgplatz). By public transport: U-Bahn station Heinrich-Heine-Allee, about 10 minutes on foot. By car: “Altstadt Rheinufer” underground car park under the promenade via the Rhine embankment tunnel, then a short walk.
• What to wear: Follow the KD party dress code (smart-casual is a safe choice). Pack a warm layer and comfortable shoes for the open deck and midnight temperatures on the Rhine.
• Where to stay: Old Town, Carlstadt and riverside hotels sell out early for New Year’s Eve – book ahead. After the 01:00 return, many bars along the “longest bar in the world” are still open.
