On Thursday 31 December 2026 and into 1 January 2027, Dusseldorf rings in the new year along the Rhine, in the Old Town and in clubs across the city. Options range from all-inclusive dinner parties at the Kasematten to big club nights at Stahlwerk and Nachtresidenz, hotel shows at the airport and party boats on the Rhine. Many formats are already on sale; popular venues sold out early in past years. Private fireworks are typically heavily restricted in the Old Town – the best views are from the Rhine, a boat or selected rooftops.

Kasematten (Untere Rheinwerft, 40213 Dusseldorf) – Five venues, one night, from about 18:00. Stahlwerk & Treibgut (Ronsdorfer Straße 134, 40233 Dusseldorf) – Silvester XXL with Buffalo & Wallace, 31 Dec 2026 from 22:00 into the early hours of 1 January. One admission, five “decade” parties (1970s–2010s). Recent presale prices around €17–27; age 18+. Tickets typically via Eventim / Rausgegangen.

Nachtresidenz (Bahnstraße 13–15, 40212 Dusseldorf) – Cookies & Cream Silvester Deluxe on 31 Dec 2026 from about 20:30. House, party classics, soul, R&B and hip-hop, performances and a glamorous club setting; presale is standard and often sells out early.

Maritim Airport Hotel (Maritim-Platz 1, 40474 Dusseldorf) – “Flight into 2027”: doors 19:00, programme about 20:00–03:00. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Dusseldorf

• Getting there: Old Town and Kasematten are easy on foot and by tram/metro; Stahlwerk via Ronsdorfer Straße (U75, buses 734/736). For Maritim Airport Hotel use airport links or taxi. Expect road closures and scarce parking – public transport or a local overnight stay is usually easier.
• Weather and dress: New Year on the Rhine can be wet, windy and cold. Kasematten areas are covered and heated; for the walk and open spots pack layers, solid shoes and a poncho if needed. Clubs and hotels are typically smart-casual to glam.
• Where to stay: Hotels in the Old Town, at the main station and at the airport book out early. Some parties (Maritim, boat packages) offer combined overnight and breakfast on 1 January.
• Fireworks: Private pyrotechnics are typically banned in the Old Town (often 20:00–06:00). Safe viewing: Rhine embankment, Kasematten, boats, selected rooftops and the Medienhafen area – follow current city notices.
