Program
The main venue is the Auditori Meliá Sitges, seating around 1,380 people, which hosts gala screenings, special sessions and the award ceremonies following the red carpet walk. Further screenings take place at Cinema Prado, Tramuntana and other venues around the old town; the historic Cinema El Retiro remains closed in 2026 for renovation work. The official 2026 poster references "Carrie", marking the film's fiftieth anniversary this year. Beyond the screenings, the festival offers a vibrant cultural program including themed exhibitions, book and comic presentations, concerts and children's activities. Among all its offerings, the Zombie Walk stands out as one of the most popular events, turning the streets of Sitges into a true zombie apocalypse.
Tickets
Individual tickets, day passes, general passes and industry or press accreditations go on sale in the weeks before the festival through the official website and at the on site box offices. Prices per screening usually range between 8 and 12 euros, with reduced rates for students and pass holders. Popular world premieres and Midnight X Treme sessions often sell out within hours, so early booking is strongly recommended.
Visitor Tips
- Buy tickets several days in advance, especially for world premieres and midnight sessions.
- The Rodalies R2 Sud train line connects Barcelona Sants and El Prat airport to Sitges in about 35 to 45 minutes.
- Book accommodation three to six months ahead, as Sitges fills up very quickly during the festival.
- The Zombie Walk is free and open to anyone who wants to join the parade.
- Those driving via the C 32 motorway should use exits 27 to 29; parking in the centre gets very tight during the festival.
