Welcome to the Snow Polo World Cup 2027 in St. Moritz

The 42nd Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz takes place from 22 to 24 January 2027 on the frozen Lake St. Moritz in Switzerland. First staged here in 1985, it remains the world’s only high-goal polo tournament played on snow, set against the Engadin mountains. The polo village is open from 10:30 to 16:30 on each tournament day.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Thursday, 21 January 2027, features public training games from 12:00 to about 15:00, with free entry including the grandstand. Friday, 22 January, opens the tournament with three matches from 11:00; the three winners plus the best losing team advance to the semi-finals. Saturday, 23 January, brings semi-finals, ranking matches, prize-givings and the Schlitteda at 13:30. Sunday, 24 January, includes further classification games and the final for the Snow Polo World Cup Trophy at 14:30, followed by awards for the tournament, Most Valuable Player, Best Playing Patron and Best Playing Pony.

Off the field, invitation-only events include a players and partners presentation at the Kulm Hotel, a fondue night at Hotel Steffani, partner dinners, and on Saturday a cocktail reception, gala dinner and after party at a location still to be announced. Buy tickets only via the official shop at snowpolo-stmoritz.com/tickets. General admission to the public area is free on Friday; visitors under 16 enter the public area free on all tournament days. For Saturday and Sunday, destination listings and the previous edition’s model point to public tickets from about CHF 20, roughly 21 euros. The Perrier-Jouët Chukker Club adds unassigned grandstand seating, a blanket, canapés and a glass of champagne. VIP tickets include the VIP tent with a seated gourmet lunch by Gamma Catering, fine wine and Perrier-Jouët, a cigar lounge and VIP grandstand; recent VIP prices were around CHF 950, about 1,010 euros. Gala tickets cover the evening reception and dinner only, not match-day lake access. Confirm 2027 VIP and gala rates in the ticket shop, as premium categories often sell out early. Children aged 3 and over need a paid ticket in VIP and Chukker Club categories, with no child discount.
