Snowboxx Festival returns to Avoriaz in the French Alps from 13 to 20 March 2027 for its 13th edition. The week mixes skiing and snowboarding across the Portes du Soleil ski area with concerts, après-ski and mountain parties. The car-free resort sits at around 1,800 metres, with stages, bars and official lodging largely within walking distance.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Days are built around the Portes du Soleil pistes, parks and off-piste terrain, with bottomless brunches and on-mountain games in the mix. From midday, après takes over at La Folie Douce. On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, headliners play the open-air main stage by the slopes; those shows usually finish around 23:00 so the next ski day stays realistic. Nights continue at The Boxx, downtown venues and other resort spots.

The 2027 line-up had not been announced at the time of research. Organisers say two announcement waves will land between October and November, with set times closer to the event. Past editions featured house, drum and bass, techno and disco names such as Fatboy Slim, Wilkinson and Andy C. Extra programming includes inflatable downhill races, heated snowball fights, the skim pool and other off-piste events. Families can ski in the resort, but festival events are 18+.

It includes a full-week festival wristband and a lift pass of your choice (4-, 5- or 6-day Portes du Soleil, or a 6-day Avoriaz-only pass), but not accommodation. Wristband-and-accommodation packages start at roughly 465 to 523 EUR per person depending on the published from-price (about 399 to 449 GBP) and rise to around 1,311 EUR (1,125 GBP) for some chalet options. Final rates depend on group size, lodging type and sale window; some early-bird stock had already sold out. VIP upgrades add priority queues, viewing platforms and private bars. Single-night main-stage tickets for Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday are typically released closer to the event on site. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Avoriaz

• Geneva is the nearest major airport. Organiser transfers run by coach (around 3 hours) or minivan (around 2 hours). Avoriaz is car-free: park on the outskirts and continue by shuttle, cable car or on foot.
• Mid-March is still proper winter at 1,800 metres. Pack layered ski kit, a waterproof jacket for open-air nights, solid boots, gloves and sun protection.
• Official festival apartments and chalets sit within walking distance of the stages and sell out early. If you book lodging yourself, stay near the plateau / station entrance and compare lift-pass discounts inside official packages.
• Collect your own wristband and lift pass in person with ID; group leaders cannot pick up for everyone. Use the Snowboxx app for the map and set times.
• Bars and traders are cashless via the RFID wristband. A regular ski pass lets you ride the lifts, but official stages require a Snowboxx wristband.
