Welcome to the Spalter Hopfenzupferfest 2027 in Spalt
The Spalter Hopfenzupferfest is the traditional festival of the hop and beer town of Spalt in the Franconian Lake District. It celebrates the centuries-old hop harvest with the famous hop-picking competition, the inauguration of the new Hop Queen and the historic Saumarkt. At the historic Kornhaus and in Gänsgasse, visitors experience Franconian traditions, fresh Spalt beer and regional specialties.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The Hopfenzupferfest traditionally takes place in early September as part of the Hoppy Weekend. On Saturday the Historic Kornhaus is the focus with the hop-picking competition and the crowning of the new Hop Queen. On Sunday the historic Saumarkt follows in Gänsgasse at the Veit-Haus with folk music, Weißwurst breakfast and the crowning of the Saumarkt royal couple. The programme is complemented by guided tours, tastings and hop-related activities. Exact dates for 2027 will be announced later.
