Welcome to St. Katharina Open Air 2027
In the heart of Nuremberg's old town lies the Katharinenruine, the remains of the Gothic Dominican convent church of St. Katharina, destroyed in the Second World War and never rebuilt. For more than 20 years, the KunstKulturQuartier of the City of Nuremberg has moved its stage outdoors here in early summer. From 18 June to 4 July 2027, the tall Gothic ruins once again provide a unique concert atmosphere under the open sky.

Program
Over several weeks in June and July, national and international musicians and bands perform in the Katharinenruine, with a repertoire ranging from jazz and classical to folk, pop, indie and world music. Dance and theatre performances round out the program. The exact 2027 lineup is usually announced in spring; in previous years artists included Blackout Problems, Die Sterne, Curtis Harding, Triggerfinger and Alela Diane. Most concerts start in the evening at 8:00 PM.
Tickets
Tickets are available directly from the KunstKulturQuartier of the City of Nuremberg and through standard box office partners. Based on previous years, prices range from around 18 to 55 euros, depending on the act and seating category. Since the Katharinenruine offers limited capacity, buying tickets early once the program is released is recommended.
Visitor Tips
- Watch for the program and ticket sale start in spring, as popular concerts sell out quickly.
- Bring warm clothing for the evening, since the ruins have no roof.
- The Katharinenruine is centrally located in the old town and easy to reach on foot from downtown Nuremberg.
