Welcome to the Stauferspektakel Göppingen 2026
From 4 to 7 June 2026, Stauferpark in Göppingen transforms for the 20th time into a lively medieval world. Held around the Corpus Christi weekend, this year's Stauferspektakel celebrates its 20th anniversary with an especially rich program of jousting tournaments, a historical market, camp life and live music on several stages.

Program
The festival opens on Thursday (Corpus Christi) at 11:00 AM and runs through Sunday evening. On all four days, the Knights of the Black Lance hold several tournaments daily, while around 30 different groups offer insights into medieval camp life in their tent city. Craftspeople demonstrate traditional techniques such as blacksmithing, weaving and candle making, often with hands on activities. Musicians, jugglers and acrobats entertain visitors between the stalls, and a live concert takes place on Saturday evening. Young visitors can enjoy their own program of games and shows.
Tickets
Tickets for the Stauferspektakel are available online through the official website and at the box office on site. Children under six enter free, while children up to 13 pay a reduced price of around 5 euros. Adults pay about 10 euros for a day ticket; family tickets and season passes covering all four days cost around 20 euros. Access to the jousting tournaments is charged separately per show.
Visitor Tips
- Thursday (Corpus Christi/Father's Day) tends to be the busiest; Sunday is usually calmer.
- Parking is available directly at the entrance for a fee.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as the grounds are spacious and partly uneven.
- Bring cash or a card for the taverns and craft stalls.
- A season pass is worthwhile for families planning to visit on multiple days.
