Welcome to the Stendal Christmas Market 2026 in Stendal
The Stendal Christmas Market takes place from 10 to 13 December 2026 on the historic market square of the Hanseatic city of Stendal. Enjoy the atmospheric setting around the giant festively lit fir tree, the scent of roasted almonds, mulled wine and punch as well as crafts and Christmas music. Admission is free. Opening hours: Thursday 14:00–19:00, Friday 11:00–21:00, Saturday 11:00–22:00 and Sunday 11:00–18:00.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Stendal Christmas Market on the market square forms the centre of the Advent celebrations. Santa Claus appears daily at 15:00. A varied supporting programme with music creates a festive atmosphere. The event is complemented by the crafts market inside the historic town hall and the longer-running Hüttenzauber in the city centre.
Crafts Market in the Town Hall
From 10 to 13 December 2026 the crafts market takes place inside the town hall. Local, Czech and Ore Mountains craftspeople present their works. There is also a model railway exhibition by the I.G. Gartenbahn Stendal. Opening hours: Thursday 14:00–19:00, Friday 11:00–19:00, Saturday 11:00–20:00 and Sunday 11:00–18:00. Admission is free.
Kleiner Hüttenzauber
From 2 November to 30 December 2026 the Kleiner Hüttenzauber between Winckelmannplatz and Sperlingsberg invites visitors to linger. Seven lovingly decorated stalls offer hot drinks, hearty and sweet treats as well as pancake dishes. Opening hours are generally Sunday to Thursday 11:00–20:00 and Friday and Saturday 11:00–22:00 (occasional deviations possible). Admission is free.
