Welcome to the Sternschnuppenmarkt Wiesbaden 2026

From 24 November to 23 December 2026 the Sternschnuppenmarkt transforms Schlossplatz and the area around the Marktkirche in Wiesbaden into a sparkling winter wonderland. More than 100 stalls, illuminated lilies and a festive stage programme create the typical Wiesbaden Christmas atmosphere. The offer is completed by the Children’s Shooting Star Market on Luisenplatz and the Biebrich Castle Christmas Market.

Sternschnuppenmarkt 2026 – Schlossplatz & Marktkirche

The main market takes place from 24 November to 23 December 2026 on Schlossplatz and in front of the Marktkirche. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 10:30–21:00, Friday and Saturday 10:30–21:30, Sunday 12:00–21:00. The market is closed on Christmas Eve and the Christmas holidays. The illuminated lilies and festive lighting make the Sternschnuppenmarkt one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets in Hesse.

Children’s Shooting Star Market 2026 – Luisenplatz

Running parallel to the main market, the Children’s Shooting Star Market is open from 24 November to 30 December 2026 on Luisenplatz. Children can enjoy a gnome forest, craft activities, story times, live music, the Shooting Star Express and a children’s carousel. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00–19:00, Friday and Saturday 11:00–20:00, Sunday 11:00–19:00 (closed on Christmas holidays, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day).

Biebrich Castle Christmas Market 2026

The smaller, family-friendly Biebrich Christmas Market takes place on the first two Advent weekends: 27–29 November and 4–6 December 2026 right in front of Schloss Biebrich with views of the Rhine. Around 21 stalls offer regional specialities, handicrafts and mulled wine. Opening hours: Friday 15:00–22:00, Saturday 14:00–22:00, Sunday 14:00–21:00. On 6 December Saint Nicholas visits at 16:00.

The Sternschnuppenmarkt features a daily varied supporting programme with music, choirs and Advent activities. The Children’s Market offers crafts, stories and live music on the Winter Magic Stage.
