Welcome to the Stone Techno Festival 2027 in Essen
Stone Techno Festival 2027 returns from 9 to 11 July to UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein in Essen, Germany. For three days the open-air event pairs contemporary techno with the industrial architecture of the coking plant. Organised by The Third Room; entry is 18+.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The daytime festival runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 23:59 on the Zollverein site (Area C, Kokereiallee). Night Events at Mischanlage (Kokereiallee 71) and Grand Hall (Kokereiallee 9–11, a short walk from the main entrance) run from 23:00 to 07:00 and need separate tickets; Full Weekender tickets are not valid for Night Events. The full 2027 line-up is still to be announced. The Curation Series continues: curators shape dedicated floors and vinyl releases first sold at the festival. Artistic direction: Ahmet Sisman and Felix Fleer. A Stone Techno Symposium is planned around the weekend — confirm times on the official website. There is no camping.
Tickets & Admission for Stone Techno Festival Essen
Regular Weekender tickets for Stone Techno Festival 2027 are on sale via the official website and the T3R app. Entry to the open-air festival is not free. Listings start from around 220 EUR; reports from the 2027 Regular sale mention about 270 EUR for a Weekender ticket. The organiser raised prices versus 2026 and cut capacity by 1,000 people per day. Night Event tickets (Mischanlage, Grand Hall) are extra. Day and combo tickets may follow later. Buy only at stone-techno.com or the official waiting list; Ticketswap is not accepted. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Essen
- Public transport: tram 107 to Zollverein or Zollverein-Nord, bus 170/183 or regional train RB32 to Zollverein-Nord; shuttle buses run all three days between Essen Central Station and Zollverein (separate shuttle ticket, limited).
- July in Essen is often warm to hot; pack sun protection, light clothing and sturdy shoes for the industrial site. Nights can be cooler.
- No camping: book hotels in Essen, Katernberg or near the main station early — daily capacity is lower than in 2026.
- Free parking in areas A1, A2, B and C; accessible parking in area A. Festival address: Kokereiallee 71, 45141 Essen. The site is barrier-free.
- Bring ID and ticket (digital or printed); 18+. Cashless (card/PayPal). No outside food, drinks or bottles. Re-entry 5 EUR. Phones off the dancefloors. Lockers bookable online (daytime and Night Events separately).
