From 27 November to 27 December 2026, Strasbourg—proudly known as the "Capital of Christmas" (Capitale de Noël)—transforms into a breathtaking winter fairytale. Dating back to 1570, the historic Christkindelsmärik is one of Europe's oldest and most iconic Christmas markets, featuring around 300 wooden chalets spread across 11 UNESCO-listed locations on the Grande Île. Every street glows with festive magic.

Program

The Christmas market takes over the entire historic city center of Strasbourg. Stalls are open daily from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Key experiences include walking through the illuminated half-timbered streets of La Petite France, exploring the artisanal stalls right beneath the stunning Strasbourg Cathedral, and watching the magical light choreography around the Grand Sapin in Place Kléber.
