Welcome to the Stuttgart Wine Village 2026
From 20 August to 5 September 2026, downtown Stuttgart turns once again into a lively wine village. On Marktplatz, Schillerplatz and Kirchstraße, around 30 hosts welcome guests with beautifully decorated wine booths. This year the Stuttgart Wine Village celebrates its 50th anniversary; the festival was founded in 1974 by the association Pro Stuttgart and is now one of the largest wine festivals in southern Germany.

Program
The wine village opens festively on 20 August at 7:00 PM. For 17 days afterward, the city center welcomes visitors in a relaxed "Hocketse" atmosphere: cozy street tables, a varied music program and more than 500 different wines from Stuttgart and the Württemberg region. The anniversary year includes special features such as a dedicated anniversary wine, a commemorative stamp and a wine village collection, plus additional concerts at the Altes Schloss. A highlight for families are the two family Sundays with face painting and games.
Tickets
Visiting the Stuttgart Wine Village is free; only individual concerts at the Altes Schloss require a paid ticket, bookable separately. Table reservations at individual booths are handled directly by the hosts.
Visitor Tips
- Note the opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, Thursday to Saturday 11:30 AM to midnight.
- The opening evening and weekends draw the biggest crowds; weekdays are more relaxed.
- Traveling by bus or train is recommended, as parking in the city center is limited.
- Book larger group reservations early, directly with the individual booths.
- Non alcoholic options such as lemonade and iced tea are also available.
