Welcome to the Südtirol Festival Merano 2027 in Merano
The Südtirol Festival Merano (formerly Merano Music Weeks) is one of Europe’s most prestigious classical music festivals. The 42nd edition is expected to take place from mid-August to late September 2027 in the spa town of Merano. World-class orchestras, soloists and ensembles perform at historic venues including the Kurhaus, Kursaal, churches and castles.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival usually runs for five to six weeks from mid-August to late September. Exact dates for 2027 have not yet been announced (as of September 2026). The programme includes classical symphony concerts, baroque, chamber music, jazz and world music. Most evening concerts start at 20:30. Main venues are the Kurhaus/Kursaal, the municipal theatre, churches and castles in and around Merano.

- Getting there: Merano is easily reached by train via Bolzano; the station is centrally located. By car via the A22/E45 and the MeBo expressway.

- Book accommodation in the centre or near the Kurhaus early, as the festival is very popular.
- Many concerts take place in the historic Kurhaus – the walk along the spa promenade is part of the experience.
