Sumol Summer Fest 2027 is expected to return in early July to Praia de São João in Costa da Caparica and is widely seen as the unofficial start of Portugal’s summer festival season. Two days of hip-hop, urban music and beach culture take place at Parque de Campismo do Inatel – sand underfoot, Atlantic a short walk away. The 2027 lineup has not been announced. Sumol Summer Fest typically runs a two-day hip-hop and urban bill with international headliners and strong national or Lusophone names. The 16th edition in 2026 featured Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God on day one, and T-Rex (the first Portuguese headliner in the festival’s history), MC IG, Bb Trickz, Chico da Tina, Mar and Rislene on day two. Exclusive shows and album presentations were part of the concept.
In 2026, gates opened at 16:00 both days and headliners hit the stage around 01:00. Day-by-day set times are usually published shortly before the event. Camping requires the two-day pass with camping; the campsite last opened on the morning of the first day and closed at midday after the festival. Day tickets generally did not allow re-entry. Tickets & Admission for Sumol Summer Fest Costa da Caparica
Tickets for Sumol Summer Fest 2027 are not on sale yet. For orientation, 2026 second-release pricing (all figures in euro) was: day tickets from about 50 euro; two-day pass without camping from about 62 euro; two-day pass with camping from about 72 euro. Golden Circle upgrades cost roughly 12–40 euro extra depending on category. Earlier batches and FNAC fan packs were sometimes cheaper. 2027 prices may change. Sales usually run through MEO Blueticket and authorised outlets (FNAC, Worten, El Corte Inglés and others). Buy only via sumolsummerfest.com or official partners. General passes are exchanged for wristbands on site; keep the wristband for the whole festival.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Costa da Caparica
- Getting there: Lisbon Airport (LIS) is about 30–40 minutes by taxi or rideshare. By public transport, use Carris Metropolitana lines to Costa da Caparica (e.g. 3709, 3710 from Lisbon; Costa da Caparica terminal roughly 15–20 minutes on foot from the site). Check night services and festival-day reinforcements. Ferry Porto Brandão–Trafaria and bus 3015 have also been listed. By car, arrive early – parking around Praia de São João is tight on festival weekends.
- Weather and clothing: Early July in Costa da Caparica often means 24–28 °C by day and cooler Atlantic breeze after dark. Pack light summer clothes, sun protection, comfortable shoes for sand and camping, and a light layer for the night. Swimwear and a towel are worth bringing – the beach is right there.
- Where to stay: Camping is included with the two-day camping pass (Inatel). Otherwise book hotels or apartments in Costa da Caparica, Trafaria or Almada early – summer kick-off is busy. Lisbon works as a base if you plan bus or taxi returns late at night.
