Welcome to the Tallinn Christmas Market 2026
From 20 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, the Tallinn Christmas Market transforms the historic Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats) into a winter wonderland. Set within Tallinn's remarkably preserved medieval Old Town, the market honors a legendary tradition: historical records show that the very first public Christmas tree in Europe was erected right here in 1441.

The market is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with drink and food stalls staying open longer—until 10:00 PM from Sunday to Thursday, and until 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Alongside daily market trading, visitors can enjoy atmospheric musical performances and festive events framed by the stunning medieval architecture.
