Welcome to the Tanz im August 2027 in Berlin
Tanz im August is one of Europe’s most important festivals for contemporary dance and will return to Berlin in 2027. Presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer, the festival spans several weeks and features international productions, world and German premieres as well as experimental choreographies at numerous venues across the city. Artists and companies from around the world meet Berlin audiences and create a vibrant space for aesthetic and social encounters.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The exact programme and dates for Tanz im August 2027 are expected to be announced in spring 2027. The festival usually lasts around two to three weeks in August and includes numerous performances at different locations. Typically there are 15–20 productions with more than 50 shows, including premieres and international guest performances. The stage programme is complemented by artist talks (“Beyond the Stage”), workshops, introductions and free outdoor formats. The festival centre at HAU2 serves as the central meeting point with café, kiosk and party locations.
Tickets & Admission for Tanz im August Berlin
Tickets are available via the website tanzimaugust.de, the Reservix webshop and the box office at HAU2. Prices vary by production and typically range from about 15 to 45 euros for full-price tickets. Reduced tickets (students, pensioners, disabled persons and others) as well as youth tickets (5 euros for children and young people up to 14 when accompanied by an adult) are available for selected performances. A limited number of reduced tickets can be booked in advance. Service fees may apply for online bookings. Current prices and availability will be published with the programme.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Berlin
- Public transport is ideal: The HAU venues are close to the U-Bahn stations Hallesches Tor and Möckernbrücke (U1, U3, U6, U7). Other venues are easily reached by U-Bahn, S-Bahn or bus.
- August can be warm to hot – bring light, comfortable clothing and possibly a jacket for air-conditioned spaces or evening events.
- Book accommodation in Kreuzberg, Mitte or Charlottenburg early, as the festival takes place in high season and attracts many international guests.
- Use the festival centre at HAU2 (Hallesches Ufer 34) as a starting point – here you will find information, tickets and the chance to meet other visitors and artists.
