Taubertal Festival 2027 takes place from 5 to 8 August on the Eiswiese in the scenic Tauber Valley below the medieval walls of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Since 1996 this open-air festival has offered a unique atmosphere with rock, indie, punk and related genres against the backdrop of the romantic old town. With camping options and an intimate live feeling it ranks among Bavaria’s special festivals.

At Taubertal Festival 2027 visitors can expect acts from rock, indie, punk and related genres over several days on the Taubertal Stage and other stages. The current line-up features strong German and international names; the exact day schedule and further bands will be announced later. Typical are varied shows with close contact between artists and audience plus nighttime programme points in the Festival Village. Tickets

Full festival tickets are available via the official website. Early-bird prices start at €169 (first 1,000 tickets), then rise to €189 and subsequently to €205. Camping tickets cost an extra €25 per person. Youth tickets (ages 14–17) are discounted (approx. 60 % of the regular price), children’s tickets (ages 7–13) cost €39 (festival) or €19 (day ticket). Visitor Tips

  • Travel by train to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and use the free festival shuttle; park cars at official lots and take the shuttle or walk (approx. 15–20 min)
  • August weather can be warm and sunny but also changeable – pack sun protection, sturdy shoes and a rain jacket
  • Book camping spots and accommodation in Rothenburg early; camping requires an additional camping ticket
