Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

TECHimSCHNEE is a single-day open air, usually on a Saturday from midday until late evening. Recent editions ran from 12:00 to 23:00. In sunshine, guests often dance in lighter layers; after sunset the temperature at 1,920 metres drops quickly. The 2027 lineup had not been announced. In 2026 confirmed artists included Marc Improof, Ra-Moon, Annina Frey, ADrik, Pected, Michelle Vanja, Soma Soul, Caridino and Novi Maschilton. The musical focus remains electronic: peak-time techno, tech house and more melodic styles.

The Stöckalp–Melchsee-Frutt gondola takes visitors onto the plateau. In the last edition the lift paused between 17:30 and 19:00; from 20:00 special buses ran from the valley station to Sarnen railway station until every guest had left. A ski pass is not included and must be bought separately if you want to ski before or after the party. Bad weather can force a postponement; in 2026 the reserve date was 28 March. Whether 2027 again has a backup Saturday will be confirmed by organiser MX-Project on the official website.

Tickets & Admission for TECHimSCHNEE Melchsee-Frutt

Tickets are strictly limited and have sold out quickly in previous years. For 2026 the standard price started at CHF 55, about EUR 58 at the September 2026 exchange rate; super early-bird and early-bird batches were cheaper and disappeared first. Official 2027 prices had not been released. Based on the last edition, expect a range of roughly EUR 50 to 70 depending on the sales tier. The ticket recently included the gondola (not one-way) and the option to add shuttle buses at checkout. Food and drinks on site are paid by cash, Twint or card. The event is 18+. Sales and current tiers are published at techimschn.ee/tickets.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Melchsee-Frutt

  • Public transport: train to Sarnen, then the hourly postbus to Stöckalp; the valley station is signposted. Car parking at Stöckalp last cost CHF 5 per day and spaces are not guaranteed.
  • March at 1,920 m: sunny and cold by day, freezing after dark. Pack layers, a windproof jacket, hat, gloves and sturdy shoes with grip; warm clothing is essential at night.
  • Book plateau hotels early (Frutt Mountain Resort, Frutt Living, Distelboden, Bonistock). More affordable rooms sit in the valley in Sarnen, Kerns or Melchtal.
  • A ski pass is extra. Festival-only visitors do not need one; skiers buy it from Sportbahnen Melchsee-Frutt.
  • Three days before the date the organiser checks the weather. In 2026 tickets remained valid if the event moved. Follow only techimschn.ee, email and official social channels for updates.
