On the third Advent weekend, from 11 to 13 December 2026, the market square in the historic old town of Hoyerswerda transforms into a festively illuminated Christmas market with deep historical roots. The Teschenmarkt takes its name from Princess Ursula Katharina von Teschen, who ruled over Hoyerswerda from 1705 to 1737 and left an enduring mark on the town's craft and trade culture. Organised by the Lausitzhalle Hoyerswerda GmbH, the market extends across the old town square and involves the historic castle and Kulturfabrik as partner venues. Admission is free across all three days.
