Welcome to the Theatron Musiksommer 2027 in Munich
The Theatron Musiksommer is Munich’s legendary free open-air music festival on the lakeside stage in the Olympiapark. For several weeks, different concerts take place every day right by the Olympic Lake. The amphitheatre offers a unique atmosphere with views of the water and the park. Admission is free – a fixture of Munich summers since the 1970s.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The Theatron Musiksommer spans several weeks in summer and offers a different programme each day, usually with two to three acts. Most evenings start at 19:00 and finish by 22:00 at the latest. On selected days there are additional morning or afternoon programmes, including family and children’s offers. The line-up features local Munich and Bavarian artists as well as national and international acts from a wide range of genres. Tickets & Admission for Theatron Musiksommer Munich
Admission to the Theatron Musiksommer is completely free of charge. There are no ticket costs. Food and drinks can be purchased on site or brought along. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Munich
- The easiest way to get there is by U-Bahn (U3 to Olympiazentrum); from there it is only a short walk to the lakeside stage.
- Bring comfortable clothing and a blanket or cushion – the stone steps of the amphitheatre are not padded.
- Book accommodation near the Olympiapark or in Munich city centre early, as summer is very popular in Munich.
- Your own picnic is allowed and widely used by visitors; please take your rubbish with you.
- In hot weather pack sun protection and enough water; the stage is open by the lake.
