Welcome to the Tiefer Stollen Christmas Market 2026 in Aalen
The Tiefer Stollen Christmas Market takes place from 3 to 6 December 2026 at and in the historic Tiefer Stollen visitor mine in Aalen-Wasseralfingen. Visitors ride the mine train 400 metres deep into the festively illuminated mine and experience a unique Christmas atmosphere underground. An atmospheric market with chalets complements the offer above ground. The market is open Thursday to Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Tiefer Stollen Christmas Market combines historic iron ore mining with Christmas festivity. Visitors board the mine train and enter the illuminated tunnels and sandstone halls, where stalls offer handmade products, decorations and regional specialities. The last entry is one hour before closing. Above ground, chalets with mulled wine, grilled food, crêpes and other treats invite visitors to linger. The official opening takes place in torchlight with musical accompaniment by the mining band. Helmets are mandatory throughout the ride and stay underground.
Tickets & Admission for Tiefer Stollen Christmas Market Aalen
Admission to the above-ground Christmas market is free. Tickets are required for the underground ride (advance purchase recommended due to high demand). Prices are based on previous years: adults approx. 8.50 Euro, children (6–14 years) approx. 4 Euro, children under 6 free. Tickets are available online via the visitor mine website and at the ticket office. The shuttle bus is included in the ticket price.
