When and Where Does Tinderbox 2027 Take Place?
Tinderbox returns to Tusindårsskoven ("the Thousand Year Forest") in Odense from 24 to 26 June 2027. The festival takes its name from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Tinderbox"; Andersen was born in Odense in 1805, and the festival leans into that connection with its woodland, storybook like setting. The site is open all three days from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with music running across several stages at once.
What Music Can You Expect at Tinderbox 2027?
Tinderbox is one of Denmark's largest music festivals, spanning pop, rock and EDM. Five stages define the site: the main stages Panorama and Plaza, the tent stage Pavilion, the dedicated electronic stage Magicbox, and the nostalgia focused Groovebox playing hits from the nineties and two thousands. Past editions have featured Green Day, Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai, Pitbull, David Guetta, Lana Del Rey, Muse and Depeche Mode. No lineup has been confirmed for 2027 yet; first names are typically announced in winter or early spring.

How to Get to the Tinderbox Festival in Odense?
- The festival site sits in Tusindårsskoven on Elsesmindevej in southern Odense, reachable by bus, bike or festival shuttle buses.
- With up to 50,000 guests expected per day, parts of the access road Falen are closed to traffic during the festival.
- There is no camping on site, so accommodation in or near Odense should be booked well in advance.
- Since the site stays open into the early morning hours, comfortable shoes are worth it for the walks through the forest.
- Most on site payments run in Danish kroner (DKK); a card that supports DKK avoids extra conversion fees.
