Welcome to the Tölzer Christkindlmarkt 2026 in Bad Toelz
From 27 November to 24 December 2026 the historic Marktstraße in Bad Toelz turns into a sparkling Christmas fair full of lights, scents and traditional Bavarian atmosphere. Around 40 lovingly decorated wooden stalls invite visitors to stroll while the painted facades of the old town shine in festive glow. The Tölzer Christkindlmarkt is considered one of the most beautiful and best-known Christmas markets in the region and remains open until Christmas Eve.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Tölzer Christkindlmarkt is open daily from 11:00 to 19:00, and on 24 December from 10:00 to 14:00. Weekends and selected evenings feature extra attractions such as concerts, family carriage rides, Saint Nicholas visits and the atmospheric Krampus run. A children’s carousel spins in front of the fountain while local singers and musicians perform festive songs. Stalls offer wood carvings, candles, tree ornaments and regional specialties. Food and drink stalls have extended opening hours until 21:00 on Thursdays and Fridays.
Tickets & Admission for Tölzer Christkindlmarkt Bad Toelz
Entry to the Tölzer Christkindlmarkt 2026 is completely free. No tickets are required. Food, drinks and handicrafts are purchased directly at the stalls. Group packages including a guided tour, Bavarian snack and mulled wine can be booked via the tourist information office starting from around 30 € per person.

- Arrive by train (RB 56 to Bad Toelz) or via the A8 exit Holzkirchen and continue on the B318/B13
- Wear warm, weatherproof clothing and non-slip shoes – the sloping Marktstraße can become icy

- Use nearby car parks and explore the historic market street on foot
