Welcome to Tønder Festival 2027 in Tønder
From August 25 to 28, 2027, the small town of Tønder in Southern Jutland once again becomes one of Europe's most important meeting points for folk and world music. Since 1974, the festival has drawn musicians and audiences from around the world for an intimate, close up festival experience.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival site traditionally opens on Wednesday around noon with a free opening concert on the Open Air stage, while gates open in the morning from Thursday through Saturday. The full 2027 line up and detailed schedule have not yet been announced and will be published on the official website during spring.
Tickets and Admission for Tønder Festival
Advance sales for 2027 traditionally open with a discounted early bird ticket, which most recently started around 1,995 Danish kroner and rose through several price tiers. For comparison, the 2026 edition priced a Wednesday day ticket at about 795 kroner, while the regular four day pass cost around 2,495 kroner, roughly 107 to 335 euros. Final 2027 prices will only be confirmed once official sales open.

- A large campsite with and without electricity sits right next to the festival grounds
- There is no dedicated parking at the site itself, so parking areas in central Tønder are the better option
- Late August weather in Southern Jutland can be changeable, so weatherproof clothing and rain gear are a good idea

- Anyone wanting the full experience should secure a four day ticket early, since popular days regularly sell out
