Welcome to Tollwood Summer Festival 2027

From 17 June to 18 July 2027, Munich's Olympiapark Süd once again turns into a colourful tent landscape. Since 1988, the Tollwood Summer Festival has combined music, art, street theatre and sustainability; over 700,000 visitors come every year to experience concerts, circus arts and the "Markt der Ideen" with crafts and international organic food.

Highlights

  • About a month of programming in Olympiapark Süd
  • Top tier concerts in the Musik Arena, including Kool Savas, Querbeat, Joe Bonamassa and Matthias Reim
  • Captivating street theatre and circus arts in the redesigned amphitheatre
  • International companies from France, Japan, the Netherlands and beyond
  • "Markt der Ideen" with handicrafts and organic food
  • Around 90 percent of the site and program are free to access
  • Strong commitment to the environment, tolerance and social causes

Program

The Tollwood Summer Festival offers a different highlight almost every evening. The Musik Arena hosts international top acts and German audience favourites; confirmed for 2027 so far are Kool Savas (19 June), dicht & ergreifend (2 July), Querbeat (3 July), Joe Bonamassa (12 July) and Matthias Reim (14 July), with more names announced on an ongoing basis. The amphitheatre features international companies performing poetic and fast paced circus arts and street theatre in the open air. At the "Markt der Ideen", craft stalls and diverse organic food invite visitors to linger. The site opens daily around midday, while concerts in the Musik Arena usually start around 7:00 PM.

Tickets

Access to the festival grounds, the "Markt der Ideen" and around 90 percent of the program is free. Separate tickets are required for concerts in the Musik Arena; prices start at around 36 euros and vary considerably by artist and seating category, running noticeably higher for in demand acts. Tickets are available through München Ticket, Eventim and the Tollwood website.

Visitor Tips

  • Secure concert tickets for popular acts early, as they often sell out quickly.
  • Traveling by bus or train is recommended; there is no parking directly at the festival site.
  • StadtBus line 144 stops right at the main entrance, at the Olympiaberg stop.
  • Even without a concert ticket, the market, food and street art make a visit worthwhile.
  • Access to the Musik Arena is barrier free; wheelchair spots can be reserved by phone.
