What is TRNSMT Festival?

The TRNSMT Festival is Scotland's biggest music festival, held right in the heart of Glasgow at Glasgow Green. Launched in 2017 as the successor to the legendary "T in the Park", it moved the festival scene straight into the city centre; no camping required, just rock, indie, pop and dance across four stages.

When does TRNSMT 2026 take place?

TRNSMT 2026 runs from Friday, 19 June, to Sunday, 21 June 2026; a month earlier than in previous years, which were usually held in July. Gates open at 12:00 PM on all three days, last entry is around 9:30 PM, and the music ends around 11:00 PM.

Where does TRNSMT take place?

The venue is Glasgow Green (G1 5DB) on the east side of the city, just a short walk from the city centre. Four stages share the site: the Main Stage, King Tut's Stage, the River Stage and the Boogie Bar.

Who is playing TRNSMT 2026?

The 2026 lineup is topped by Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Lewis Capaldi as headliners across the three days. Other confirmed names include Wolf Alice, Loyle Carner, CMAT, The Last Dinner Party, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Amy Macdonald, with more acts traditionally added throughout spring.

How much do tickets cost?

Day tickets start at £82.56, while a three day general admission ticket costs £249. For more comfort, VIP tickets start at £390 and VIP+ tickets go up to £625 for the full weekend. Entry is restricted to over 16s, and photo ID is recommended for the bars.

How do I get to the festival?

Since TRNSMT is a non camping festival, most visitors travel in and out each day. Glasgow Green is within walking distance of the city centre; buses and shuttle coaches also run from cities across Scotland including Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness. Travelers by train should aim for Glasgow Central or Queen Street station.

Practical Tips

  • Book tickets early, as popular categories sell out quickly.
  • Since re entry is required each day, staying within walking distance of the site is worth it.
  • Pack weatherproof clothing, as Scottish weather in June can be changeable.
  • Cash is rarely needed on site, as most vendors accept contactless payment.
