Welcome to the Truck Festival 2027 in Steventon

Truck Festival 2027 returns to Hill Farm in Steventon, Oxfordshire, from 22 to 25 July – an independent indie and rock festival on a working farm. Often called the “godfather of UK festivals” and “the UK’s most warped village fête”, Truck has mixed big guitar stages with village-fete spirit since 1998. Organisers are marking the festival’s 30th birthday in 2027. The 2027 lineup has not been announced yet; it will be published on the official website.

Highlights & Attractions at Truck Festival in Steventon

  • Multiple stages covering indie, alternative, rock and late-night dance, including the main outdoor Truck Stage, the indoor Market Stage (which typically becomes Palm City after hours), The Nest, This Feeling, V&V, Tipsy Cow, The Taproom and the barn stage The Rockin’ Chair.
  • A compact, walkable farm site in Steventon – often likened to a miniature Glastonbury you can cross without GPS – with a strong community feel.
  • On-site camping at Hill Farm: General Camping, Family Camping, Zodiac Fields (typically including hot showers, better toilets and priority entry) plus campervan and caravan options.
  • A family-friendly setup with the Little Truckers kids’ area (workshops and shows) and a dedicated Family Campsite. Under-16s must be with a responsible adult aged 21 or over.
  • Classic Truck extras such as late-night sets, comedy and cabaret in the barn, and – in recent years – a Sunday firework display. Confirm 2027 extras closer to the event.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Truck Festival 2027 is a long July weekend at Hill Farm. Thursday Entry (22 July) usually opens the campsite from 13:00; without that upgrade, gates typically open on Friday morning. Friday to Sunday are the main music days. In recent editions, entry gates have run 13:00–21:00 on Thursday (Thursday upgrade required) and 09:00–21:00 Friday–Sunday; music and late-night areas continue after last entry. Campsites have typically closed at midday on Monday. Always check truckfestival.com for confirmed 2027 gate times.

Musically, Truck stays an indie and alternative weekend: guitar bands, breakthrough acts and after-dark dance. The 2027 bill is still to be announced. Previous years have included artists such as The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, The Libertines, The Wombats, Wet Leg and Foals – that is historical context only, not the 2027 lineup. Expect talks, games and morning yoga in The Taproom, karaoke and club nights, and family sessions in Little Truckers. The full timetable is released closer to the festival on the website and in the Truck app.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Steventon

  • Travel: Hill Farm sits in Steventon, between Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage. By car use the A34 (south: Chilton Interchange; north/Didcot: Milton Interchange) and follow AA signs with coloured squares (postcodes OX13 6AB or OX13 6SG depending on route). By train, go to Didcot Parkway, then the festival shuttle (Thames Travel TF1 in recent years) or a taxi (including 001 Taxis, 01235 812812). National Express event coaches and cycling are options. Pre-book parking and avoid peak arrival windows (Thursday midday, Friday morning).
  • Weather and clothing: Late July in Oxfordshire is often mild to warm, with a real chance of rain. Pack layers, a waterproof, sturdy shoes or wellies, sunscreen, a hat and a reusable bottle. Free water refill points are on site. It is a working farm – expect mud if it rains.
  • Stay: Most people camp on Hill Farm (General, Family, Zodiac, campervan). Tiers sell out fast, so book early. If you are not camping, look at hotels and B&Bs in Didcot, Abingdon, Wantage or Oxford; rooms around Steventon are limited.
  • Festival know-how: The site is cashless (card/contactless). Alcohol is allowed into camp on first entry only (for example up to 24 cans, or decanted wine/spirits; no glass; no alcohol in the arena). Challenge 25 applies – bring ID. Assistance dogs only. Under-16s need an adult aged 21+, with a maximum of four U16s per adult. The 2027 fancy-dress theme will be posted on official channels. Save e-tickets offline and download the festival app.
