Welcome to the Urige Meppener Oktoberfest 2026
The Meppen Oktoberfest is considered one of the biggest Bavarian style festivals in the Emsland region, and in 2026 it moves to a new venue: instead of the previous Kirmesplatz, the city celebrates on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at the municipal festival ground Am Nagelshof, right behind the Emsbad indoor pool. From 5:00 pm to 11:59 pm, the site turns into a huge beer tent with genuine Wiesn atmosphere, hosted by Getränke Vorwerk from Herzlake.

The festival opens at 5:00 pm and runs until midnight (11:59 pm). Live bands provide the entertainment throughout the evening in the tent; the detailed 2026 stage lineup is announced through the organizer's own channels. Seats are sold via a seating chart in blocks, released in several phases.
Tickets and Admission for Oktoberfest Meppen 2026
Advance sales began on 1 April 2026 through official ticket partner El Event Service. Tickets are sold as seats in blocks (A through G, each split into centre, left and right); at launch, blocks A to E in the centre were available first, with further blocks released over time. Exact prices per seat depend on the block and are shown in the seating chart at checkout in the ticket shop. Given the venue's capacity of 2,000 and strong demand in previous years, booking early is worthwhile.
Visitor Tips: Getting to the New Venue in Meppen
- The new event site is located Am Nagelshof, 49716 Meppen, on the municipal car park behind the Emsbad indoor pool, no longer at the former Kirmesplatz
- Anyone with the old address saved from previous years should double check their route
- As this is a marquee event, it runs largely regardless of weather; still, a warmer jacket is worth having for the walk home late in the evening
- Groups, families and colleagues are advised to travel together, as parking around the new site may be limited
