Welcome to the Verknipt Festival 2027 in Utrecht

Verknipt Festival 2027 takes place on 5 and 6 June at Recreatieplas Strijkviertel in Utrecht (De Meern). Since 2018 this lakeside recreation area west of the city centre has been the home of the Dutch hard techno organisation’s annual open-air weekend. Expect two days of hard and industrial techno, strong visuals and an international rave crowd — with no on-site camping.

Highlights & Attractions at Verknipt Festival in Utrecht

  • Two days of open-air hard techno and industrial techno by the Strijkviertel lake, about 15–20 minutes from Utrecht city centre.
  • Multiple stages (covered and outdoor in recent editions) with dense line-ups of established and rising hard techno acts from across Europe.
  • High production values: lasers, visuals and the full-on rave aesthetic Verknipt is known for across Europe.
  • Strictly 18+; no camping on site — stay in Utrecht or Amsterdam and travel in.
  • Cashless payment cards, lockers, food stalls including vegan and gluten-free options, and ear protection at the merch stand.
  • Official shuttle buses from Utrecht Centraal (Expoplein) and parking at P+R Papendorp with a free shuttle to the grounds.
  • Clear house rules: no re-entry, bags larger than A4 not allowed, zero tolerance on drugs, last entry typically until 20:00.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

The 2027 lineup has not been announced yet. Previous editions featured packed hard techno and industrial programmes across several stages, mixing international headliners with emerging European talent. Day-by-day timetables are usually published closer to the event on the official website.

Based on the 2026 edition: Saturday opens around 12:00, Sunday around 13:00; both days finish around 23:00. Last entry was 20:00. Once you leave the site you cannot re-enter, even with a weekend ticket. Everyone must leave the grounds after closing.

Tickets & Admission for Verknipt Festival Utrecht

Tickets for Verknipt Festival 2027 are not on general sale yet. After the 2026 edition the organisers opened pre-registration for 2027; early access to the first sale wave is important because Utrecht editions routinely sell out fast. Buy only via verknipt.org and the authorised ticket partner (Weeztix). If sold out, TicketSwap is the recommended resale platform.

For orientation, 2026 pricing (incl. service fees, rounded): day tickets from about €64 in the early tier, later up to about €79; weekend tickets from about €109, later phases up to about €141. 2027 prices may differ. Ticket tiers usually differ only in price, not in access.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Utrecht

  • Getting there: Train to Utrecht Centraal, then the festival shuttle from Expoplein (buy the shuttle ticket in advance). By car: P+R Papendorp (Mercatorlaan) and shuttle to the site; parking was about €35 in 2026 with a CO₂ offset donation. By bike: roughly 20 minutes from the centre (navigate to Strijkviertel 67, 3454 PK Utrecht).
  • Weather and clothing: Early June in the Netherlands is often mild to warm, but rain is possible. Wear comfortable shoes, layers, ear protection and bring a light rain layer if needed (free ponchos were available at the bars in 2026). Covered and outdoor stages are both in use.
  • Where to stay: No camping on site. Book hotels or hostels in Utrecht or Amsterdam (about 30 minutes by train) early — the festival weekend fills up quickly.
  • On site: Bags larger than A4 are not allowed; leave bigger luggage at the station. Cash cards only for all purchases; remaining balance is not refunded. Lockers online or on site. Bring valid ID (18+).
  • Safety and rules: Zero tolerance on drugs (amnesty bins at the entrance), awareness team on site, no re-entry. Buy only through verknipt.org and official partners — avoid unofficial social media sales.
