Welcome to the Vienna Fingerstyle Festival 2027 in Vienna
The Vienna Fingerstyle Festival is Vienna’s leading acoustic-guitar event and traditionally takes place over two evenings at the jazz club Porgy & Bess. After the 16th edition in February 2026, the Vienna Fingerstyle Association is preparing the 2027 edition. International and Austrian fingerstyle virtuosos perform at Riemergasse 11 in the 1st district, presenting demanding fingerpicking played without a plectrum.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Exact concert dates for the Vienna Fingerstyle Festival 2027 have not been published yet. Since 2019 the festival has usually been held on a late-February weekend at Porgy & Bess. A typical schedule is doors at 7:00 p.m., concerts from 8:00 p.m., finishing around 11:00 p.m. Each night usually features three acts. In recent years guitar workshops took place in the afternoon, plus a Fingerstyle Brunch (most recently at Frau Mayer, 1010 Vienna). The 2027 line-up will be announced on fingerstylefestival.at and porgy.at. Check the official sites before you travel.
Tickets & Admission for Vienna Fingerstyle Festival Vienna
Tickets for 2027 are not on sale yet. For orientation, 2026 prices in euro were: standing 30, day pass in advance 35, day pass at the door 38, two-day festival pass 60. Tickets were sold via fingerstylefestival.at and porgy.at (phone +43 1 512 88 11). 2027 prices may change; current categories and on-sale dates will appear on the official festival website when pre-sale opens.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Vienna
- Getting there: U3 Stubentor or U1/U3 Stephansplatz; tram line 2, Weihburgasse – Porgy & Bess is in the Inner City and easy to reach on foot
- What to wear: smart-casual club attire; the venue is heated, a light jacket is enough for a February evening walk in Vienna
- Book hotels in the 1st district (Innere Stadt) early – February weekends in Vienna are busy
- Workshops sell out quickly; register via the festival website or the published contact once booking opens
- Arrive for 7:00 p.m. doors to secure seats; combine the concert with dinner near Riemergasse
