On Easter night from 1 to 2 May 2027, Vrontados on Chios turns into a one of a kind spectacle: two rival parishes fire tens of thousands of homemade rockets at each other, aiming for the opposing church's bell tower. No winner is ever declared, so the rivalry lives on every year.
