Around the golden Gëlle Fra monument on the Place de la Constitution, Luxembourg City's old town turns into one of the country's most scenic Christmas markets from 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The Wantermaart offers visitors a festive atmosphere right above the Pétrusse Valley.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Wantermaart is open daily, though hours vary by day of the week: Sunday to Thursday from 12:00 to 21:00, and Friday to Saturday from 11:00 to 22:00. The market closes early on Christmas Eve and traditionally stays closed on Christmas Day. Alongside mulled wine and seasonal treats, the rides, the Ferris wheel and the festive lighting provide entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Entry to the Wantermaart and the entire Christmas market area on Place de la Constitution is free. Individual attractions such as the Ferris wheel and the children's rides charge small separate fees payable on site.
