The festival opens on September 18 with a concert at the Warsaw Philharmonic and continues over several days at more than twenty venues around the city, including the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and Nowy Teatr. The main program is complemented by inter festival events, fringe programming and a dedicated children's program called Little Warsaw Autumn.

Many fringe events, workshops and the opening concert at the Royal Castle are free, though some require advance registration.
