Way Out West 2026 – Scandinavia's Most Sustainable Music Festival
From 13 to 15 August 2026, the beautiful Slottsskogen Park in the heart of Gothenburg becomes the setting for one of Europe's most celebrated music festivals. Way Out West has been a cornerstone of the Scandinavian festival calendar since 2007, combining a world-class international lineup with a firm commitment to sustainability and vegetarian food. Around 55,000 visitors are expected across the three-day event in one of Sweden's most scenic urban parks.
Lineup 2026
The 2026 edition features one of the strongest lineups in the festival's history. Headliners include:

Further confirmed acts include Lorde, The XX, Zara Larsson, The Hives, Moby, Lykke Li, Maribou State, Four Tet, DJ Koze, Honey Dijon, Ezra Collective, Lily Allen, Blood Orange, Anoushka Shankar and many more, with over 60 artists performing across five stages.

Sustainability
Sustainability has been at the heart of Way Out West since its founding in 2007. The entire food offering on the festival site is vegetarian. The festival actively works to reduce its environmental footprint and strongly encourages visitors to travel by train or bus rather than by car or plane.
Visitor Tips
- Slottsskogen Park is reachable on foot or by tram from Gothenburg Central Station.
- Book accommodation as early as possible; hotels fill up fast during the festival.
- The night programme in city-centre clubs is not automatically included in the festival ticket; check separately.
- Pay by card or bring Swedish Krona (SEK); euros are not widely accepted.
- The festival site is pet-free and wheelchair accessible.
- Large bags and luggage are not permitted on the grounds.
