From 23 November to 28 December 2026, the Christmas market “Weihnachten am Meer” transforms the city centre of Wilhelmshaven around Valoisplatz into a festive winter landscape. This North Sea Christmas market combines maritime charm with traditional holiday atmosphere and offers daily open stalls, sparkling lights and a varied programme for the whole family.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Christmas market “Weihnachten am Meer” is generally open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. Opening hours are reduced on 24 December, and the market is closed on 25 and 26 December. In addition to the permanent stalls, a supporting programme features Santa Claus hours, musical entertainment and special action days. The detailed programme will be published closer to the event.
Weihnachten am Meer 2026 – The Main Christmas Market at Valoisplatz
The main market takes place at Valoisplatz and in the adjoining Nordseepassage. Visitors can expect a winter village of stalls, impressive light decorations and a wide range of gifts, handicrafts and culinary specialities. The maritime character of the city is reflected in the design and makes the market a unique experience on the North Sea coast.
