  • Book accommodation in the Wied Valley or neighbouring villages early, especially for Advent weekends.
  • Visit the nativity trail at dusk or in the evening when the lighting is most impressive.
  • Pick up free flyers and maps at the Tourist Information (Neuwieder Straße 61) and join the children’s rally.

Christmas Village Waldbreitbach 2026/2027 – The Whole Village as a Christmas World

Unlike classic markets with stalls on a single square, here the complete village is decorated. Facades, gardens, the riverside promenade and the guild tree shine in festive light. The combination of nature, tradition and community effort by local residents creates an especially authentic atmosphere in the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park.

Nativity Trail (Krippenweg) Waldbreitbach 2026/2027

The nativity trail runs for about two kilometres along the River Wied and through the village. Around 82 stations with nativity scenes in private gardens, shop windows and public areas invite discovery. Highlights include the floating nativity, the large Advent wreath and the natural root nativity in the church. The path is largely barrier-free and ideal for families and evening walks.

Christkindchen Market in the Christmas Village 2026

On the Advent weekends of 5/6 and 12/13 December 2026 the Christkindchen market enriches village life. Regional exhibitors offer Christmas specialities and crafts while music associations create a festive atmosphere. The Christkind distributes small gifts to children and is available for photos.
