Silbriga Sonntig Markt in Schruns
The Silbriga Sonntig Markt is considered the largest and best known Christmas market in the region and traditionally takes place on the third Sunday of Advent on the church square in Schruns. Following a festive church service, the market opens at 10 a.m. and welcomes visitors with more than 70 decorated stalls, horse drawn carriage rides for children and an Advent workshop at the Heimatmuseum Schruns. Based on the pattern of previous years, the third Advent Sunday in 2026 falls on December 13, though an official confirmation for 2026 had not yet been found at the time of research.
Tschagguser Wiahnachtsmarkt in Tschagguns
In the village center of Tschagguns, the Christmas market traditionally follows a church service at the local parish and pilgrimage church, featuring regional vendors, specialties from the Tschaggusr Gola association and music from the local Harmoniemusik Tschagguns. A confirmed date for the 2026 edition had not yet been published at the time of research, and in previous years the market has also taken place on an Advent Sunday.
Silbertaler Bergknappen Weihnacht at the Kristberg
A special case among the region's Christmas events is the Silbertaler Bergknappen Weihnacht, organized by the team of the Montafon Kristberg cable car in Silbertal. For 2026, four separate weekends have been confirmed: November 27 to 29, December 4 to 8, December 11 to 13, and December 18 to 20. The event features an emotional Christmas play, top level musical performances, guided tours of the St. Agatha miners chapel, Christmas fairy tales and exhibitors selling Montafon handicrafts. Christmas Market with Ice Rink at Posthotel Taube in Schruns
In the courtyard of the Posthotel Taube in Schruns, a small Christmas market has for several years been combined with a real ice rink. Visitors will find decorated market huts, mulled wine and punch, along with an ice surface for the whole family. Last season, the event ran from November 27, 2025 to January 7, 2026, with ice rink admission priced at 7 euros, 4 euros for children up to age 10, and skate rental at 6 euros.
