From November 23 to December 23, 2026, the city center of Cottbus once again turns into a sea of festive lights. The Christmas Market of a Thousand Stars stretches across the Altmarkt, Spremberger Straße, Platz am Stadtbrunnen and the area around the Blechen Carré, making it one of the best known Christmas markets in the Lusatia region.

Program and Schedule: When and What Happens in Cottbus

The market is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, while the food and drink stalls stay open until 9 pm. The market is closed on December 24. Throughout Advent, festive music, small stage programs and the traditional cutting of the giant Christmas stollen at the opening ceremony bring extra atmosphere to the Altmarkt and Spremberger Straße.
