Eutin Lights Trail (Lichterstadt Eutin)

Running alongside the Christmas market, the Eutin Lights Trail turns the historic old town into a glowing walking route from November 24, 2026 to January 3, 2027, daily from 4pm to 9pm. Covering about 1.8 kilometers, the route leads from the train station through pedestrian zones, along the scenic town bay and up to the castle square. More than fifty light installations, powered entirely by green electricity, bring the history of courtly life in Eutin to life and offer plenty of photogenic spots along the way.

Kiwanis Christmas Market at the Castle

On the second Advent weekend, December 5 and 6, 2026, the historic castle courtyard and wings host the Kiwanis Christmas market. More than 30 exhibitors present handmade crafts, jewelry and decorations, accompanied by live music and festive food and drink such as mulled wine, punch and fresh cake. Admission is free, and all proceeds support charitable projects run by the Kiwanis Club Ostholstein. Opening hours are Saturday from 1pm to 7pm and Sunday from noon to 6pm.
