Welcome to the Christmas Market at Jagdschloss Grunewald 2026 in Berlin
The fairytale Christmas Market at Jagdschloss Grunewald takes place on 5 and 6 December 2026 from 11:00 to 19:00. Against the backdrop of Berlin’s oldest surviving castle on the shore of the Grunewaldsee, visitors can enjoy a special Advent atmosphere away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Illuminated stalls, the scent of mulled wine and Christmas treats, and living fairy-tale characters create a magical mood.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
On both days from 11:00 to 19:00 the castle courtyard and surroundings of Jagdschloss Grunewald turn into a fairytale Christmas market. Fairy-tale characters mingle with visitors and provide entertainment. A storyteller and a varied music programme complete the offer. Admission includes the possibility of a castle visit. After dark, historically dressed night watchmen accompany guests safely to the bus stop.
Tickets & Admission for Christmas Market at Jagdschloss Grunewald Berlin
Admission costs 3.50 euros, reduced 2 euros (including castle visit). Children up to 6 years enter free. Tickets are available on site only. Please note the bag check at the entrance: suitcases, sports bags and large backpacks are not permitted. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Berlin
- Public transport is recommended: bus to Königin-Luise-Str./Clayallee stop, followed by a 15–20 minute walk through the forest.
- Dress warmly and weatherproof – the lakeside and forest location can be cool and windy. Sturdy shoes are advisable.
- Parking is limited and subject to fees (Hüttenweg / Forsthaus Paulsborn). Early arrival and public transport are preferable.
- Combine your visit with a walk around the Grunewaldsee and a tour of the Cranach exhibition inside the castle.
- In the evening, take advantage of the night-watchman accompaniment and enjoy the special lighting atmosphere at the castle.
