From 25 November to 27 December 2026, the square in front of Rouen Cathedral transforms into a magical winter wonderland as part of the "Rouen Givrée" winter festival. Surrounded by historic half-timbered architecture, the famous Gros Horloge clock tower, and the majestic cathedral, this market captures the authentic, rustic charm and cozy spirit of Normandy during the holiday season.

Program

The market welcomes visitors daily from late November through late December. Operating hours are Mondays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays with extended hours until 9:00 PM, and Sundays from 10:00/11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. In addition to shopping, the festival program features live music, entertainment, and magical street performances.

Admission to the Rouen Christmas Market is completely free. No tickets or advance reservations are required to explore the cathedral square and market chalets.
