Welcome to the Schloss Hof Christmas Market 2026 in the Marchfeld Region
From November 14 to December 20, 2026, the baroque palace of Schloss Hof in Lower Austria's Marchfeld region turns into a festive Christmas market on Advent weekends, plus the weekdays of December 7 and 8. The former country estate of Prince Eugene of Savoy and later summer residence of Empress Maria Theresa sits near the March river, close to the Slovak border, and its baroque palace, terraced gardens and lively manor farm make it one of the most atmospheric settings for a pre Christmas outing near Vienna.

The Christmas market is open on Advent weekends every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday from 10am to 7pm, plus the weekdays of December 7 and 8, 2026. Around 150 stalls offer handicrafts, tree ornaments and seasonal treats, alongside a historic carousel and the adjoining ice rink in the City Hall park, which stays open until January 6, 2027. Bratislava Christmas Markets
Even closer to Schloss Hof is Bratislava, whose old town also transforms into an Advent market. For 2026, the opening of the main Christmas market at Hlavné námestie (Main Square) is planned for November 26, running daily from 10am to 10pm through January 3, 2027.
